Thornburg Funeral Home was established in 1904 by Luther Thornburg of Parker City, Indiana. Upon his passing in the 1960's, his two sons Ralph and Glenn Thornburg began running the business. Both Ralph and Glenn have since passed away; however, some of their children still remain in the Randolph County area. Zalo Wilson, Jr. and Kenneth C. Shook, current owners are proud to be a part of the Thornburg heritage and continuing the traditions of the Thornburg Name. They are also proud to be creating new traditions by making each service personal and meaningful to each life lived. Zalo was born in Farmland,IN and raised in Farmland and Parker City area. He attended Monroe Central High School and gradutated from Vincennes University. In 1980, he began his Funeral Service Career in Randolph County. Zalo is proud to be serving in the community of his youth. Kenneth C. Shook spent much of his life in the Muncie, IN. area. He is a 1978 graduate of Muncie Southside. Kenneth has been working in the funeral business since 1994, serving families and providing extended care services such as catering, personalized banquet services and monument sales. Kenneth's commitment to excellence is second to none.
