Thompson L. Huffman, 84, of Dunkirk, IN passed away early Thursday morning, March 5, 2015 at Albany Healthcare of Albany, IN. He was born May 28, 1930 in Dunkirk, IN the son of Everette T and Charlotte S. Huffman. He was a 1948 graduate of Dunkirk High School. Thompson was retired truck driver, having owned and operated Costa Leasing Inc. and US Express. He was a member of Halfway Lodge F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Ft. Wayne, Mizpah Shrine of Ft. Wayne and the Dunkirk Elks Club. He enjoyed spending his leisure time gardening. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Paul T. Huffman of Muncie, IN, Richard "Chuck" Huffman (wife, Susan) of Dunkirk, IN and Eric Huffman (wife, Teresa Ramsey) of Ridgeville, IN; five daughters, Leslie Ann Forrest (husband, Thomas) of Muncie, IN, Joy L. Gregg (husband, Bruce) of Ossian, IN, Julie Paulk (husband, George) of Arlington, TX, Mary K. Sterrett (husband, Mike) of Ossian, IN and Susan Brown (husband, Leonard) of Muncie, IN; a brother, Orval Huffman of Rochester, IN; 21 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a loving wife, Ruth L. (Jester) Huffman; and two brothers, Harry D and George M. Huffman. A service to celebrate Thompson's life will be 10 am Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Dunkirk Memorial Chapel of Dunkirk, IN. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery.
