S. Raleen Huston Obituary (1936 - 2011)

S. Raleen Huston, 75, of Muncie, IN passed away early Thursday morning, June 2, 2011 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, IN. She was born April 4, 1936 in Gaston, IN, the daughter of Raymond and Eileen (Manning) McCreery. She was a graduate of Harrison Township High School. Raleen attended True Light Baptist Church of Muncie, where she taught Sunday school, children's church and also sang in the choir. She was past President of the Muncie Poetry Club, taught Bible study at Lind House of Muncie, read to senior citizens at Alpha Center of Muncie. She enjoyed listening to Gospel, Country and Bluegrass music. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 43 years, Raymond "Ray" Huston; sons, Rex Propes of Muncie and Greg Propes of Guthrie, OK; two step sons, Dan Huston (wife, Vicki) of Albion, IN and Jerry Huston (wife, Liz) of Houston, TX; a step daughter, Penny Hyatt (husband, Tony) of New Castle, IN; two brothers, Michael McCreery of Gaston, IN and Danny McCreery of Melbourne, FL; a sister, Janice Mousty of Muncie, IN; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kristen Propes, both of Oklahoma City, OK; a great granddaughter, Ashton Propes; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale Propes; a brother-in-law, Melvin Mousty; and a niece, Penny Garton. A service to celebrate Releen's life will be at 2:00 pm Monday, June 6, 2011 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN.
