Rodney L O'Dell Obituary (1964 - 2014)

Rodney L. O'Dell, 50, of Union City, IN passed away Wednesday evening, December 10, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, IN. He was born August 24, 1964 in Greenville, OH the son of Lowell and Carol (Bowers) O'Dell. Rodney worked several years as a painter and welder for Bob's Welding and Repair in Farmland, IN. He enjoyed spending his leisure time in the outdoors, fishing, hunting and reloading. He was an avid gun collector. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Elaine (Atnip) O'Dell; two sons, Larry Poling (wife, Maryah) of Farmland, IN and Tyler Poling (wife, Alexia) of Union City, IN; a daughter, Jessica Poling of Union City, IN; his parents, Lowell and Carol (Bowers) O'Dell of Gettysburg, OH; a sister, Gwindelin Fourman (husband, Darren) of Arcanum, OH; and two grandchildren, Emma Poling and Xander Jasinski. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Olive O'Dell, and Roscoe and Grace Bowers. A graveside service to celebrate Rodney's life will be at 10 am Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Poplar Run Cemetery of Farmland, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 pm Monday, December 15th at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN.
