Raymond "Butch" Stumpff Obituary (1950 - 2014)

Raymond L. "Butch" Stumpff, 64, of Union City, IN passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 11, 2014 at IU Health, Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, IN. He was born January 3, 1950 in Ft. Campbell, KY the son of Clive and Flora (Turner) Stumpff. He honorably served as a US Marine. Ray "Butch" was retired as a painter from the Union City Body Company. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church of Union City, IN. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Leslie McHenry (husband, David) and Carla Burk (husband, Bill), all of Union City, IN; two step-sons, Richard Warren of Union City, OH and Robert Griffith of Kentucky; a step-daughter, Sandy Warren of Union City, OH; a brother, Kenny Stumpff (wife, Letitia) of Louisiana; three sisters, Judy Blackstock of Texas, Rita Mundy of Union City, OH and Kathy Davis of Union City, IN; five grandchildren, Lyndsay and Courtney Pearson, Madison McHenry, Aaron and Megan Burk; 14 step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Mildred "Millie" Stumpff; and a brother Donald Bryant. A service to celebrate Ray's life will be 11 am Monday, March 17, 2014 at Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel of Union City, IN. Burial will follow in Union City Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2-5pm on Sunday, March 16th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
