St. Rd. 32 Parker City, IN 47368 Paul Vernon Bunner, 58, of Farmland, passed away peacefully at his residence, Friday, August 21, 2009, following a battle with cancer. He was born December 28, 1950 in Ft. Wayne, IN the son of Paul V. and Irene (Moore) Bunner. He was a graduate of Monroe Central High School and attended Vincennes University. Paul, having worked 34 years in transportation, retired in 2004 from Marsh Supermarkets. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 135 where he served as Union Stewart 13 years, Farmland Conservation Club, Indiana Hunter Education Association, Indiana Wildlife Federation, National Muzzle Loading Association, Pequannah Muzzle Loaders Association, National Wildlife Federation, and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He loved the great outdoors. He was a Hunter Education Instructor and Shooting Sports Instructor. He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 36 years, Chris (Balcom) Bunner; a son, John Paul Bunner (wife, Miyoung) of Indianapolis; a daughter, Jennifer Bunner (companion, Meagan Galenski) of Indianapolis; a grandson, Andrew Paul Bunner; a sister, Trudi Yount (husband, Brent)of Andrews, IN; a half brother, Richard Bunner (wife, Gloria) of Royerton; a half sister, Shirley Crow of Marion, IN; special nieces, Tiffany Haupert (husband, Ryan) of Urbana, IN, Taberly Hart (husband, Jason) of Huntington, IN and Rena Balcom of Coldwater, MI; many other nieces and nephews; Chris's parents, Walt and Helen Balcom of Coldwater, MI; brothers in law, sister in law and families. He was preceded in death by his parents. A service to celebrate Paul's life will be 10 am Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4 -8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmland Conservation Club. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
