Patricia Jean (Journay) Parks Obituary (2020)

Patricia Jean Parks, 65, of Union City, OH passed away late Monday evening, July 8, 2019 at State of the Heart Hospice, Wayne Hospital of Greenville, OH. She was born March 28, 1954 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of Richard and Waneta (Wright) Journay. She was a 1973 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. Pat had worked in processing with Cooper Farms and Hartwick Poultry. She enjoyed watching soap operas and shopping. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother; a loving husband William L. Parks; a son, Stephan E. Parks of Greenville, OH; three sisters, Barbara Rismiller (husband, Carl) of Union City, OH, Sandra Hiestand (husband, Phillip) of New Weston, OH and Roberta Asbury of Salisbury, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Carolyn Weis; and three brothers-in-law, Dale Asbury, Carl Willeford and Ron Weis. A service to celebrate Pat's life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Calvary Assembly of God, 720 N. Plum St., Union City, IN 47390 with Sonny Pettie officiating. Burial will follow at Union City Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Monday, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Assembly of God or State of the Heart Hospice. Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Fraze Brooks Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
