Parma (Lovejoy) Ooten Obituary (1930 - 2013)

Parma Ooten, 83, of Dunkirk, IN went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Parker Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. She was born June 26, 1930 in Ranger, WV the daughter of Hansford and Mary (Stevenson) Lovejoy. She was a homemaker, having worked as a House Mother for the United Methodist Children's Home. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Dunkirk, IN. Parma leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Joanie Freeman of Parker City, IN and Michelle Fraley Martin (husband, Steve) of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Kevin Fraley (wife, Teri) of Jacksonville, FL and Eric Fraley; a granddaughter, Melissa Pittman of Greensfork, IN; three great grandchildren, Maggie Pittman, Lacy Mangas and Scott Martin; step-daughters, Wanda Burk (husband, Claude), Penney Vaugh (husband, Bobby), all of Dunkirk, IN, Rhonda Dayton (husband, Mike) of Hartford City, IN, Beth Linden of Arizona; and a step-son, Roger Ooten of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Dallas Fraley and Okey Ooten; a step-son, Curtis Ooten; five sisters, Nadine Fuller, Mavis Rakes, Shirley Bellomy, Lillian Estep and Shelia Tolliver; and two brothers, Don Adkins and Ronald Lovejoy. A service to celebrate Parma's life will be 11 am Monday, November 11, 2013 at Dunkirk Memorial Chapel of Dunkirk, IN. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery of Muncie, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5-7 pm Sunday, November 10th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Association or Breast Cancer. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
