Ondavere T (Thornburg) Toney Obituary (1931

Ondavere Tarneda (Thornburg) Toney, 81, of Farmland, IN passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. She was born January 15, 1931 in Sulfur Springs, IN the daughter of Ruby Carroll and Juanita (Flescher) Thornburg. She was a 1948 graduate of Farmland High School. Ondy, a homemaker, was a lover of nature. She enjoyed spending time gardening and Sewing. She was a member of Farmland Christian Church and Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Wilbur Lee "Bill" Toney; two daughters, Jane Cates (husband, Steven) of Massillon, OH and Debra Toney of Royal Oak, MI; a son, Greg Toney (husband, David J. Keller) of North Canton, OH; three grandchildren, Marcus Cates (wife, Nicole) of North Canton, OH, Stefanie Cates of St. Pete Beach, FL and Stacy Pickard (husband, Mark) of Arlington, VA; and two great grandchildren, Kylie and Rex Cates. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Russell Thornburg; and two sisters, Patricia Haggard and Marjorie Elaine Lockhart. A service to celebrate Ondavere's life will be 10 am Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 pm Monday, May 14th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
