Norma A (Conn) Mills Obituary (1927 - 2011)

Norma A. Mills, 84, of Farmland, IN passed away late Friday, March 25, 2011 at Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. She was born in the house she still resides today in Farmland on January 4, 1927 the daughter of Cordie Sylvester and Nora Elizabeth (Shaver) Conn. Norma graduated from Farmland High School in 1945 and Beauty College in 1946. She was a self-employed beautician for over 50 years. She was had kind gentle spirit and was a friend to all that knew her. Norma loved her community and it was apparent through her loving and charitable ways. Norma leaves to cherish her memory a niece, Ginny Lumpkin (husband, Roger) of Modoc; great nieces and nephews, Lance Lumpkin (wife, Amy and children, Taylor and Keith),Kyle Lumpkin (wife, Mandi and children, Abby and Katie), Renae Denton (husband, Chris and son, Carter) ; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a loving husband, Bud; a son, Tony; a brother, Charles Lee Conn; and a sister, Irene Wright. A service to celebrate Norma's life will be 1 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 10 am to service time on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided.
