Lonis Ford Haney Obituary (1925 - 2011)

Lonis (Pete) F. Haney went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2011 at his residence in Orlando, FL. He was formerly of Modoc, Indiana. Mr. Haney was born September 10, 1925 in Morgan County, Kentucky. Lonis, "Pete" was called to the ministry and ordained in early 1950. He was a member of World Outreach Christian Center in Maitland, FL. He retired from Orange County Public Transportation Division with 24 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Hildred C, daughter Kathy Elaine and granddaughter Tonya Sue, as well as his parents, five sisters and five brothers. Lonis (Pete) leaves to cherish his memory; five children, Patricia Boone (Gordon) of Orlando, FL, Joyce Cross (Dave) of Parker, IN, William "Bill" Haney (Susan) of Winchester, KY, Robert "Bob" Haney (Jan) of Huntertown, IN, and Peggy Barber (Jeff) of Mesa, AZ, ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel, Parker City, IN. A service in celebration of Lonis (Pete's) life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel, Parker City, IN.
