Lois Ann (Hulse) Conwell Obituary (1931 - 2010)

Lois Ann Conwell, 79, of Selma passed away Thursday evening, July 15, 2010, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born in Muncie, IN on March 9, 1931, the daughter of Homer and Zetta (Tooley) Hulse. She was a 1949 graduate of Center Township School. Lois retired in 2002 after 30 years with Liberty Perry School Corporation. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church where they were blessed by her gift of music at the organ. She was also a member of Perry Community Home Extension Club and an avid sports fan , especially of the Wapahani Raiders, as well as the Raider Band. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with their 4-H projects. Lois leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 59 years, Charles "Bud" Conwell; three daughters, Linda Hiatt (husband, Keith) of Muncie, Kerry Garrett (husband, John) of Selma and Kristi Conwell of Selma; two sons, Kevin Conwell (wife, Lynn) of Selma and Brian Conwell (wife, Jane) of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Helm of Carmel; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Roberta and Norman Alley of Winchester, IN; and a brother-in-law, Bill Mann (wife, Betty) of Muncie. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Joan Mann. A service to celebrate Lois's life will be 2 pm Monday, July 19, 2010 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Windsor. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 3-7 pm Sunday, July 18, 2010 and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
