Lena Mae (Hall) Townsend Obituary (1920 - 2017)

Lena Mae Townsend, 96, of Parker City, IN, beloved mother of Cathy Sue Townsend, Phil Townsend and Joseph Townsend (wife, Dian) made her transition from this earthly realm to her heavenly home. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sarah Townsend; nine grandchildren, Brett Moore, Philip Townsend II, Kamara Townsend, Lt.Col. Miles Townsend, LeeAnn Zody, Nancy Printz, Jennifer Townsend, Nicholas Townsend and Cyndee Augullanna; 14 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; the Brengmans; special friend and caregiver, Tena Brockman; Special family member, Amanda Fodrea; a special feline friend, Sugarbear Baker; and Pals, Rudy, Spencer, Blue and Daffy McDoodles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Elizabeth (Hyatt) Hall; a husband, Elmer S. Townsend; a son, Lloyd Townsend; grandson, Lloyd Townsend Jr.; and several siblings. Lena retired after 26 years as an LPN with Delaware County Home of Muncie, IN. She was a member of the Parker United Methodist Church and past President of the Farmland American Legion. A special thanks to Jesus for His love and grace. A service to celebrate Lena's life will be 2 pm Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Parker United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of rural Parker City, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 6-8 pm Thursday, February 9th at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN.
