Jerry Lowell Huffman Obituary (1936 - 2015)

Jerry Lowell Huffman, 78, of rural Farmland, IN passed away Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015 at his residence, following the discovery of a recent illness. He was born October 8, 1936 in Randolph County, IN the son of Kenneth and Thelma (Rinard) Huffman. Jerry was retired from Ball Glass Corporation, previously Kerr Glass of Dunkirk, IN, after 14 years. He had also been employed with Anchor Hocking for 24 years. He was an honorary member of the Ridgeville American Legion and was a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Ruth; a son, Bill Huffman (wife, Susanne) of Farmland, IN; two daughters, Linda Dodd (husband, Dale) of Winchester, IN and Sherri Stanley (husband, Mark) of Ridgeville, IN; six grandchildren, Jason Huffman, Aaron Huffman (wife, Ashley), Derek Dodd (wife, Lindsay), Bryan Dodd, Seth Stanley and Shae Stanley; and six great grandchildren, Kayla, Trevor, Will, Nick, Delaney and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Dean; two brothers, Max and Dale; and three sisters, Martha Lou, Anna Lee and Carolyn. A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be 11 am Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Cremation will follow. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 pm Tuesday, March 10th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgeville American Legion.
