Janis Irene (Stormes) Sarver Obituary (1930

Janis Irene (Stormes) Sarver, 91, a Winchester resident, passed away Saturday morning December 11, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Randolph after a short illness. She was born Jan 1, 1930 as a New Year's baby to Pauline Stormes and Franklin Irvin Stormes. Janis worked as a waitress at Reeve's Cafe in Winchester, Anchor Hocking, Harold Deloach Architects in Macon, Georgia, and was most recently a volunteer at the Winchester Chamber of Commerce. She loved helping the residents and business owners of Randolph County through her work there. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Susan (Reid) Ralls (husband Mike Ralls); grandchildren, Brandy Ralls and Josh Ralls; their Yorkie, Ginger; a step-son, Larry Sarver (wife Jan Sarver) of Clearwater, Florida; and nieces. She was preceded in death by Tom "TK" Reid her son, and Otto Sarver her husband, brothers John Stormes and Frank "Sonny" Stormes, and a sister Pauline (Stormes) Harrell. The family has chosen private services. Burial will be at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, IN. There are no public calling hours. The family wishes to thank Janis' neighbor Jerry Jordan for his help over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at Alz.org.
