James A Evans Obituary (1919 - 2017)

On March 15, 2017 James A. Evans went home to be with the Lord. He was born on February 17, 1919 to John D. and Maella F. (Bourshon) Evans in Lewis County, Kentucky. He worked for over 50 years as a carpenter. He leaves his only daughter, Linda J. (Evans) Myers, husband Ron of Las Vegas, NV, grandson, Matthew J. Myers, Chicago, IL. Two step grandsons, Ronald L. Myers II, Mooreland, IN and Steven R. Myers, Yorktown, IN. and four step great grandchildren, Katie Thompson, husband Doug, Mooreland IN, Chelsie T. Myers, Muncie, IN, Sara L. Myers, Muncie, IN and Steven R. Myers, Yorktown, IN. He also has two great-great grandsons, Brody Cross and Landon Cross both of Muncie, IN. He also has one brother, Ralph W. Evans, Anderson, IN. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Jane (Terrell) Evans, a step granddaughter, Sandra R. Myers, parents John D and Maella F. Evans, sisters, Mable, Bessie, Vernice, Clara, Ethel, Jessie and Ruth and brothers, Phillip and Carl. A service to celebrate Jim's life will be 1 pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory, Muncie, IN.
