Inez Marie (Eiler) Swingley Obituary (1926 - 2010)

Inez M. Swingley, 84, of Farmland, IN. passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Parker Health Care and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. She was born February 3, 1926 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Thomas and Nora Eiler. They moved to Indiana when Inez was a young girl. She attended Farmland School. In 1942, she married Charles W. Swingley. Inez attended the Mississinewa Christian Church. She Retired from the US Postal Service. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Swingley of Muncie; two grandsons, Rich W. Swingley of Muncie and Allen J. Swingley of Farmland; two great granddaughters, Sarah and Shannon Swingley, both of Muncie; three nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, Charles; two son's, Roger W. and Raymond Leroy Swingley; an infant grandson; a sister, Gladys Abernathy; and a brother, Charles Eiler. A memorial service to celebrate Inez's life will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 pm until service, at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN.
