Harriet Inez (Schurbrock) Thompson Obituary (2010)

Harriet Inez Thompson, 92, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Valley View Care and Rehabilitation Center in Andrews, NC. She was formerly of Lynn, IN. She was born October 29, 1917 in Henderson Co. Kentucky, the daughter of Francis A. and Marie Catherine Schurbrock. She was a homemaker. Harriet was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother; loving her grandchildren around her. She was an avid gardener. She was always faithful to Christ and her church in Winchester, IN. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Joseph Thompson (wife, Ruth Ann) of Murphy, NC; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a sister, Barbara Ach of Richmond, IN; and a brother Jody Schurbrock of Centerville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Frank (1991); two sons, Dale and Robert; and a daughter, Kathy. A service to celebrate Harriet's life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN with Pastor Greg Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5-7 pm Wednesday, October 27th at the funeral home.
