Goldie Marie (Miller) Puckett Obituary (1916 - 2010)

Goldie Marie Puckett, 94, of Parker City, IN passed away peacefully Monday morning, May 24, 2010 at Parker Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 21, 1916 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of Andrew Nelson and Della Jane (Rolfe) Miller. She was a homemaker and 50 plus year area resident. Marie was a long-time member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 95 of Farmland, where she was Past Worthy Matron and had served as Secretary for 45 Years. She was famous for her many super-sized rummage and garage sales. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Janet Warstler (husband, Max) of Yuma, AZ; and two step children, Philip E. Puckett (wife, Janet) of Muncie and Janet Puckett of Farmland; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roy Dudley and Cleo Puckett; and four brothers, Roscoe, Jessie, Alonzo and an infant. A service to celebrate Marie's life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Hollandsburg Cemetery, Hollandsburg, OH. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-7 pm Wednesday, May 26th at the funeral home. An Eastern Star Service will be at 3:45pm Wednesday.
