Esther Roberta (Vaughn) Rust-Cummings Obituary (1929

Esther Roberta Rust Cummings, 86, of Muncie, IN passed away late Thursday afternoon, November 10. 2016 at her residence. She was born November 21, 1929 in Arcanum, OH the daughter of Floyd A and Myrtle J. (Beezley) Vaughn. Esther retired in 2002 after 39 years as a beautician, owning and operating Esther's Beauty Salon in Farmland, IN. She enjoyed spending her leisure time reading, playing word search games, decorating her home. She loved her family very much and was known as the family prayer warrior. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Kirk E. Rust (wife, Karla) of Orange Park, FL, Beverly A. Daniel (husband, Steve) of Muncie, IN, Ric J. Rust (wife, Karen) of Columbia City, IN and Carolyn Bishop (husband, Monte) of Columbia City, IN; a sister, Doris Elson of Greenville, OH; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Kenneth E. Rust (1981) and John W. Cummings (2006); a sister, Freida Gower; a brother, Hugh Vaughn; and a great-great grandchild, Trey Coe. A service to celebrate Esther's life will be 2 pm Monday, November 14, 2016 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 11 am to service time on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Red Door, Cancer Services of Muncie, IN.
