Elsie Doris (Hinton) Drysdale Obituary (1913

Elsie D. Drysdale, 100, of Winchester, TN, formerly of Parker City, IN passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Winchester, TN. She was born June 10, 1913 to Rosa and Benjamin Hinton of Albany, IN. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, James G. Garringer (wife, Sue) of Springfield, MO, Phyllis A. Oliphant of Muncie, IN and Sharon K. Oakley of Hillsboro, TN; ten grandchildren, Shari, Shelli, Sheila, Joy, Anthony, Charles, Stephen, Tina, John and Mark; 24 great grandchildren; and 46 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Henry L. Garringer; a second husband, James Drysdale; six sisters, Opal, Ethyl, Pearl, Minnie, Edna and Carol; and one great granddaughter, Sandra. A service to celebrate Elsie's life will be 1 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN with Pastor Sherrie Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery of Farmland, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 11 am to service time on Friday, at the funeral home.
