Dixie L (Mangas) Williams Obituary (1943 - 2011)

Dixie Lee Bruner Williams, 67, of Union City, IN went to be with her Lord, Saturday morning, September 17, 2011 at St. Vincent's Randolph Hospital of Winchester, IN, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 22, 1943 in Union City, IN the daughter of Chester J. and Helen Lucille (LaFuze) Mangas. Dixie was a 1961 graduate of Ward-Jackson H.S. of Saratoga. During her school years she served as FFA Chapter Sweetheart and was a Basketball Statistician. She was Mardi Gras Queen in 1961. Dixie was a Real Estate Agent, starting in 1981 at Pasco and Hernando County Florida. She worked as Sales Manager for an agency in 1987, until she studied to receive her Broker License and opened her own agency, Dixie Land and Home Realty Inc. In 1990, she was elected President of the Hernando County Women's Council of Realtors. She was also a Licensed in Florida as an Auctioneer. She leaves to cherish her memory, her very best friend and soul-mate, Jerry L. Stewart of Union City; three sons, Michael Eugene Mangas (wife, Angela) of Winchester, Mark A Mangas (wife, Vickie) of Parker City and James Conrad Stewart of Muncie; two daughters, Sharon Graf of Tennessee and Christina Sullivan (husband, Jimmy) of Louisiana; a sister, Joan Marie Bruner Kelly of Portland; grandchildren, Jason Mangas and Jessica Hunt, Jameson and John Mangas, Jackie Maze, Cory and Jessica Huckaby, several other grandchildren; great grandchildren, Jessica and Jamie Hiestand. She was preceded in death by her parents;and a husband, Clarence E. Williams. Private Graveside services will be conducted. There will be no public viewing hours.
