Deanna Kay (Mills) Keister Obituary (1956 - 2011)

Deanna Kay (Mills) Keister, 55, of Fishers, IN, formerly of Winchester, passed away December 2, 2011 at Kindred Transitional Care of Castleton, IN from complications due to Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Portland, IN and was a graduate of Winchester Community High School in 1975. She was a 1984 graduate of Ball State University have majored in Computer Science. Deanna was a Database Analyst for 18 years with PSI (Public Service of Indiana) / Duke Energy. She had also worked for Anthem and IBM. She started Explorers at PSI, which is a career development program for high school students. She was a volunteer for years, working with challenged youths. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Don of Fishers, IN; a son, Jamie Keister (wife, Stacy) of Danville, IN; a daughter, Jessica Keister of Fishers, IN; a brother, Don Mills of Farmland, IN; and two sisters, Gladys Funk (husband, Herb) of Polk City, FL and Lois Dull of Winchester, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gale Edwin and Undine (Sitmos) Mills; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Mills. A memorial service to celebrate Deanna's life will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
