Danny E. Stanton, Sr. Obituary (1954

Danny E. Stanton, Sr., 55, of Dunkirk, passed away Sunday evening, July 25, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1954 in Portland, IN the son of Dana L. and Rosemary F. (Hanks) Stanton. He was a 1972 graduate of Dunkirk High School. Danny was retired in 2004 after 30 years as a Tow Motor Operator for Indiana Glass. He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing. He was an avid sports fan, favoring the Chicago Cubs. Danny leaves to cherish his memory a son, Danny E. Stanton, Jr. of Redkey; three daughters, April Stanton of Dunkirk, Summer Stanton (fiance, Nick Gaunt) of Dunkirk and Amanda Stanton (fiance, Troy Hicks) of Redkey; two brothers, Tim Stanton (wife, Burma) of Dunkirk and Dana Stanton, Jr. of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Betty Jones of Dunkirk and Pam Stanton of Washington, DC; and seven grandchildren, Madison, Melissa, Megan, Mackenzie, Spencer, Haden and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Steve Gibson; and a sister, Judy Stanton. A service to celebrate Danny's life will be 12 noon on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Dunkirk Memorial Chapel of Dunkirk. Burial will follow at Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 11 am to service time on Friday.
