Bertha (Case) Eldridge Obituary (1933 - 2010)

Bertha was born October 11, 1933 in Auburn, New York to the late Clearnce and Reba (Stevens) Case. Her parents returning to Knoxville, Tennessee when she was seven months old, Bertha called Knoxville her home. She married Charles L Eldridge on October 20, 1950 in Knoxville. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Linda Hudson (Jim), Lawton, Ok, David Eldridge, Noblesville, In. Judi Ballinger (Rodney), Winchester, In. Jeanette Hart (Dale), Ithaca, Ohio, Polly Vorhees, Winchester, In. Patrica Jones, Union City, Ohio, and Charles Eldridge, Union City, In. One brother Samuel Case (Shelly), Oak Ridge, Tn. Two sisters, Peggy Hipshire (John), Union City, Ohio, Anna Lee Carpenter, Knoxville, Tn. In laws Jack and Ruth Raper, Louisville, Ky, Jim Eldridge, Bloomington, IL. 14 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Berha was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, her parents, two sisters, one brother, and a grandson. Her hobbies included her family, friends, and southern cooking. A service to celebrate Bert's life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel of Union City, IN. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12 noon to service time on Wednesday.
