Berdena E (Amspaugh) Wilcox Obituary (1925 - 2011)

Berdena E. Wilcox, 86, of Union City, OH passed on Dec. 1st 2011 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester, IN. She was born January 18, 1925 in Darke Co., OH to the late Earnest J. and Marie V. (Bailey) Amspaugh. A graduate of Jackson Ohio High School, she worked at Wright's IGA Foodliner in Union City, OH for 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Union City, IN. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Allen Wilcox (wife, Jennifer) and Barbara Bowman (husband, Terry), all of Union City, OH; three granddaughters, Angela Neeley (husband, Jamey), Tonya Blocher (husband, Kent) and Amy Bousman; six great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Zachary Neeley, Kinsie and Susie Blocher, and Peyton and Landri Bousman; a sister-in-law, Imogene Croyle; nieces, Caryl Garrett and Kim Lonfellow; and nephews, John and Patrick Croyle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale H. Wilcox (2003); and a sister, Virginia Costello. A service to celebrate Berdena's life will be held at 10:30 am Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Rd. 28 of Union City, IN with Pastor Gill Krouse officiating. Burial will follow at the Union City Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2-6 pm Sunday at the Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel of Union City, IN and one hour prior to services at the church.
