St. Rd. 32 Parker City, IN 47368 Arzetta Sue "Susie" Gaines, 74, of Muncie, formerly of Farmland, passed away March 3, 2009 at Osprey Rehabilitation Facility in Bushnell, FL. She was born November 19, 1934 in Bluffton, IN the daughter of Carl and Esther (Hutchins) Earley. She was a graduate of Parker High School. Susie retired in 2000 after 12 years in Dining Services with Ball State University. She was a member of Farmland Christian Church, however after moving to Muncie, she attended Selma Christ United Methodist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Earl G. Gaines; two sons, Tim Gaines of Eaton, OH and Tom Gaines (wife, Roxanna) of Farmland; two daughters, Becky Gaines of Muncie and Patty McKinsey (husband, Jeff) of Losantville, IN.; four grandchildren, Lee and Lana Gaines, both of Albany, Mathew Gaines of Muncie, and Craig McKinsey of Losantville; two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Merle Earley. A service to celebrate Susie's life will be 10 am Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN with Pastor Dennis Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
